The agreements were signed in a ceremony attended
by Hassan Abbaszadeh, deputy petroleum minister and CEO of the National
Petrochemical Company, the company’s energy efficiency director, the deputy
education minister, the president of the National Skills University, a board
member of Pardis Petrochemical, and the CEO of Zagros Petrochemical.
Under the MoUs, Zagros and Pardis petrochemical
companies act as investors and provide rewards, with savings generated from
energy efficiency measures allocated to cover gas requirements for the participating
companies.
In the education sector, one MoU focuses on
promoting energy-conscious habits among students and their families, with
resulting savings directed to upgrading and modernising school heating systems.
Another agreement with the National Skills University involves students
participating as interns in energy-optimization projects, with savings used to
improve dormitory and campus heating systems.
Officials said the initiatives aim not only to
encourage responsible energy consumption but also to provide practical training
opportunities for the next generation while supporting resource efficiency and
productivity improvements in the petrochemical industry.
