Mohammad Maghareh, director of IranPlast, called
the event the country’s most important platform for the development of the
polymer industry and related businesses. He said this year’s exhibition also
hosts 67 foreign companies and around 200 registered international traders,
with 150 attending the opening ceremony.
A significant share of participants are small and
medium-sized enterprises, Maghareh noted, adding that the fair creates a
gateway for them to access export markets. Neighboring countries, including
Iraq, Afghanistan and Turkmenistan, account for the bulk of foreign buyers.
The event also features 38 specialized workshops,
and for the first time an online system allows exhibitors to upload product
details so buyers can connect with producers even after the exhibition ends.
Maghareh expressed hope the 19th IranPlast would
serve as a milestone in expanding Iranian businesses’ global presence.
