According to the company's public relations office, the overhaul
included critical maintenance of major production units such as Olefins,
Polyethylene, Polystyrene, and others. Key upgrades were carried out, including
control system modernization, process line tie-ins, and waste incinerator
furnace repairs.
The first phase began in early June, focusing on the Olefins unit —
the plant’s core facility — along with polymer units including Polyethylene,
Pyrolysis Benzene, and Butadiene. The second phase covered GPPS, HIPS, EPS,
Ethylbenzene, and Styrene Monomer units, concluding successfully on July 18.
Despite a full plant shutdown coinciding with national emergency
conditions, the company completed the operations on schedule, underscoring the
effective planning and continuous efforts of its workforce.
The completion of this overhaul marks a significant step toward safer,
more stable production processes and improved product quality and efficiency,
both domestically and internationally.
