CEO: Production Leap with People's Participation a Must

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- In the first meeting of the Management Council of the National Petrochemical Company in 1403, Morteza Shahmirzaei, Deputy Minister of Petroleum and CEO of the National Petrochemical Company, stated: "In line with the emphasis and order of the Supreme Leader and also the President on targeting production leap in the current year, the priority of activities and strategy of the petrochemical industry is to increase production capacities."

The Deputy Minister of Petroleum assigned the missions to the management of planning and development, investment, projects, and especially the production control management of the National Petrochemical Company to operationalize their strategic plans towards achieving the slogan of the year.

Shahmirzaei emphasized that the production management of the National Petrochemical Company is at the forefront of petrochemical industry activities this year, stating: "Project management, in cooperation with the Petrochemical Research and Technology Company, must seriously address the needs of petrochemical projects in terms of sourcing goods using domestic capabilities."

Considering production and leap in the petrochemical industry as an obligation, Shahmirzaei declared: "This year should be a year of maturity and diversification of the product basket and required catalysts of the industry, and in this regard, it is the duty of petrochemical companies and holdings to cooperate and integrate in implementing development strategies."

Referring to the recent remarks of the President regarding the utilization of the experiences and knowledge of the country's elites and experts, Shahmirzaei added: "Given the President's emphasis on developing sea-based activities, project management and production control management of the National Petrochemical Company should expedite the development of docks and export ports for petrochemical products, along with creating necessary infrastructure."

Shahmirzaei stated: "There is very good cooperation and interaction with petrochemical holdings, and the National Petrochemical Company, as the representative of the government, has created desirable convergence in various aspects of the petrochemical industry."

He further noted the need to facilitate the active presence of investors in the petrochemical industry, saying: "The investment management of the National Petrochemical Company should define small and diverse investment packages for public participation in this industry while examining solutions to remove existing obstacles and challenges in attracting investment in the industry."

Implementation of Petrochemical Products Marketing and Promotion Strategy

The Deputy Minister of Petroleum added: "Observing consumption patterns and reducing energy consumption in industries should be a priority for petrochemical companies, and in this regard, optimizing energy consumption management and production control management of the National Petrochemical Company should utilize all their capacities to achieve this goal."

He continued: "Marketing and promoting petrochemical products is the policy and strategy of the National Petrochemical Company, and this year, in the governmental sector, serious attention should be paid to marketing and promotion with the aim of building trust."

Shahmirzaei pointed out the important role of managing downstream industries in completing the value chain, stating: "Completing the value chain and producing final products in downstream units will create more added value and desirable employment in the country."

He further emphasized: "Supplying feedstock to complexes with the aim of a production leap in the value-added petrochemical industry should receive special attention, and the management of the National Petrochemical Company should take necessary measures using all available capacities."

Shahmirzaei concluded by highlighting the use of media and its power to enhance organizational culture: "Utilizing media and its capacity for the purpose of promoting organizational culture is another aspect that should be considered, and media can inform about the efforts of productive and balanced agents."
