The plants
operating in the flood-stricken areas are carrying out social responsibility measures
to serve the local people who were seriously affected by heavy rainfalls and
the ensuing inundation in recent weeks.
Included among
these plants is Amir Kabir Petrochemical Plant which has provided assistance to
the people in the flood-hit regions and has offered one-day pay pay of its
managers and senior staff for the expenses of clearing up the mud and accommodating
the people.
The company has
also sent food consignments entailing rice, chicken, and conserved food as well
as detergents and plastic rolls for protection against cold.
The recent
flooding was unprecedented in the past 50 years in Iran and has so far claimed
at least 70 deaths.
Arvand,
Kermanshah, Shazand, Bistoun, Tondgouyan, and Pars petrochemical companies have
also donated consignments and offered cash or in-kind contributions to the
flood-hit regions.
