According to the facility’s public relations, Hossein Miafzali said one
of the biggest overhauls in the facility had taken place in which all the
processing units were renovated.
Removing production bottlenecks, ensuring production sustainability, reducing
risks during operations, boosting production capacity, reducing environmentally
dangerous emissions and managing fuel and energy consumption were some of the main
goals pursued in the overhaul.
He said the facility’s C3- throughput had doubled after the overhaul
and finally its butadiene and propylene output grew, which would generate 15
million dollars per year in profits for the company.
“One of the achievements of the overhaul was removing production bottlenecks
in the olefin units which allowed for adding over 100 percent increase in the item’s
production,” he said.
Mirafzali further stated that the butadiene unit under underwent an
overhaul whose output grew to 100 to 120,000 tons per year, generating 50 to 60
million dollars in profits.
He said the overhaul entailed almost 700,000 mini-projects carried out
by 2,500 people in a period of a month.
