Plant Builds Capacity after Overhaul

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Jam Petrochemical Company has undergone a major overhaul after which its production capacity rose and production bottlenecks were removed, the plant’s CEO said.

According to the facility’s public relations, Hossein Miafzali said one of the biggest overhauls in the facility had taken place in which all the processing units were renovated.

 Removing production bottlenecks, ensuring production sustainability, reducing risks during operations, boosting production capacity, reducing environmentally dangerous emissions and managing fuel and energy consumption were some of the main goals pursued in the overhaul.

 He said the facility’s C3- throughput had doubled after the overhaul and finally its butadiene and propylene output grew, which would generate 15 million dollars per year in profits for the company.

 “One of the achievements of the overhaul was removing production bottlenecks in the olefin units which allowed for adding over 100 percent increase in the item’s production,” he said.

 Mirafzali further stated that the butadiene unit under underwent an overhaul whose output grew to 100 to 120,000 tons per year, generating 50 to 60 million dollars in profits.

 He said the overhaul entailed almost 700,000 mini-projects carried out by 2,500 people in a period of a month.
