Speaking to NIPNA, the official said production of urea fertilizer is
at a satisfactory state in Iran and the country exports the surplus production
of the item once the domestic market is supplied with enough of the product.
"It must be stressed that a favorable discipline is ruling in the
urea fertilizer market and all the petrochemical providers of the item are
supplying it in accordance with their production plans," the official
added.
Iran currently supplies 5.5 million tons of urea per year in such
facilities as Kermanshah, Shiraz, Khorasan and Pardis petrochemical plants. The
country's consumption is 2.2 million tons per year and the surplus output is
exported.
