Speaking to NIPNA, the company's CEO Mehdi
Gharouni said the plant held a tender for renting tankers to transfer gas condensate
from Asalouyeh south of Iran, to Mahshahr, in the southwestern province of
Khuzestan, by which the company could save 2 billion dollars by reduced costs
of hiring tankers of last year.
The company is fed partly by gas
condensate supplied by Parsian and Fajr Jam Refineries.
"By holding the bid we could reduce
renting costs of the tankers," he added.
Fed by 1.7 million tons of gas condensate
and 139,000 tons of benzene annually, the plant can supply up to 1.250 million
tons of petrochemicals
