Addressing
a press conference on the event on Monday, Shahdaei said the number of Iranian exhibitors
has also risen by 39% from the previous edition of the fair.
She said
600 Iranian and 524 foreign firms have registered in the showcase, describing
the exhibition as one of the world's outstanding polymer events in the world
and Asia.
"Participation
of foreign companies in the showcase has increased by 100% since implementation
of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)," said Shahdaei, who is
also deputy petroleum minister for petrochemical affairs.
Iran's
biggest polymer and plastic industries' showcase, IranPlast 2017, will start on
Sunday, September 24 through 27.
First
Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri is scheduled to attend the exhibition's opening
ceremony.
The 11th
edition of the event is being mounted with as many as 1,124 companies from 24
countries in the Iranian capital, Iran.
The fair
is being held in the four sections of raw materials, end-used items, semi
constructed items, machinery and services.
The
exhibitors come from countries like Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France,
Greece, India, Serbia, Italy, South Korea, Austria, Luxembourg, Switzerland,
Spain, United Kingdom, Thailand, Czech, Cyprus, Turkey, Taiwan, China, Japan and
the United Arab Emirates.
