Speaking to NIPNA, Sharif Mousavi said phase I of the unit is now operational with 60,000 tons of capacity and will officially startup in the coming weeks.
The compounding unit of the facility is constructed with the aim of curbing sale of raw materials and completing the value chain in downstream industries.
Launched in 2006, the plant is run by the private sector in Iran.
Touted as one of Iran's biggest petrochemical producers, the company can supply 1.1 million tons of ethylene, 200,000 tons of propylene, 300,000 tons of heavy density polyethylene, 300,000 tons of polypropylene and over 443,000 tons of glycol annually.
