NPC Chief Reviews Reconstruction at Damaged Mahshahr Complexes

MAHSHAHR, Iran, Sept. 30, 2026 (NIPNA) — Deputy Petroleum Minister and National Petrochemical Company (NPC) CEO Omid Shakeri conducted field visits to several petrochemical complexes in the Petrochemical Special Economic Zone in Mahshahr on Wednesday, reviewing ongoing reconstruction and restart operations at facilities affected by recent attacks.

On the second day of his visit to the region, Shakeri and senior NPC officials visited Karoon Petrochemical, Amir Kabir Petrochemical and Razi Petrochemical, where they were briefed on the latest reconstruction activities and progress toward restarting operations.

The delegation also visited the Petrochemical Terminals and Tanks Company and the Mahshahr center of the Research and Technology Company of the National Petrochemical Company to review their latest activities.

Shakeri also held meetings with officials of the Petrochemical Special Economic Zone Organization and a number of executives from petrochemical companies operating in the region.

On Tuesday, the NPC chief had visited Bandar Imam Petrochemical and Fajr Energy to assess the condition of damaged facilities and review reconstruction efforts.
