In a message marking Iran’s Journalists’ Day, Paknejad thanked media
professionals for their work during what he described as difficult periods of
war and sanctions, saying their reporting helped highlight the resilience of
the Iranian people and the efforts of oil industry workers to maintain energy
supplies.
“Media professionals reflected the suffering of the people, documented
the scale of the resistance and exposed the enemy’s actions,” Paknejad said in
the message, according to Shana, the Petroleum Ministry’s news agency.
He said journalists had played a key role in ensuring that events in
Iran remained visible to the outside world, describing their work as an
expression of professional responsibility and national commitment.
Paknejad also praised oil industry employees for maintaining
production and energy supplies despite what he called war, sanctions and a
blockade by land and sea. Workers continued operating around the clock and did
not halt services to the public, he said.
The minister credited media professionals with documenting and
communicating the workers’ efforts despite restrictions imposed by the
country’s wartime conditions.
Paknejad also paid tribute to those killed during the conflict,
particularly journalists, and thanked media professionals for their work and
commitment.
