Speaking on the sidelines of an operational review at the
Petrochemical Special Economic Zone (PETZONE) and Fajr Energy Persian Gulf Company,
Mohajerani outlined state response measures to restore full production
capacities across damaged utility and processing units.
Fatalities and Emergency Site Command
Mohajerani confirmed that six personnel were killed during the
targeted strikes on industrial facilities in the zone.
The spokesperson praised the fast-response protocols executed by site
operators and emergency commanders at Fajr Energy, noting that their field
leadership prevented broader industrial escalation and minimized human
casualties following direct impacts on utility infrastructure.
"The efforts of these workers and effective field management
helped keep human losses to a minimum," Mohajerani stated during the
inspection.
Economic Impact and Supply Chain Role
Highlighting the critical role of utility suppliers like Fajr
Energy—which provides electricity, steam, oxygen, and treated water to
surrounding plants—Mohajerani emphasized that strikes against energy
infrastructure directly impact downstream civilian supply chains.
The facilities under restoration produce essential industrial
feedstocks, polymers, and refined fuels, including:
- Petroleum
Products: Motor gasoline and fuel blendstocks.
- Polymers
& Synthetics: Raw plastics and synthetic compounds for
domestic manufacturing.
- Industrial
Utilities: Compressed air, steam, and electricity
vital for regional plant stability.
Funding Mobilization via Reconstruction Headquarters
The government spokesperson confirmed that the central Reconstruction
Headquarters (Setad-e Bazsazi) has initiated the capital allocation
process to accelerate repairs and bring affected units back online.
Mohajerani reaffirmed that state authorities are working in close
coordination with industrial management teams to ensure a rapid return to full
operational capacity across all affected plants in the Mahshahr industrial hub.
