TEHRAN, July 14 (NIPNA) — Major holding companies and operating firms across Iran’s petrochemical industry are mobilizing corporate resources and service assets to support the annual Arbaeen pilgrimage gathering.

The logistical campaign was formalized during a coordination meeting of the Petrochemical Industry Arbaeen Headquarters, chaired by committee head Reza Khalaj alongside corporate and industrial park representatives.

Industrial Zone Coordination

The planning session included delegates from key coastal and industrial energy hubs, specifically the Petrochemical Special Economic Zone (PETZONE) and the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ). Representatives outlined plans to pool operational capacities across tenant petrochemical plants in both zones to establish a structured logistics network.

Priority Operational Targets

The headquarters designated two core supply targets for the upcoming pilgrimage period:

  • Drinking Water Distribution: Securing large-scale supplies of bottled water to service state-sponsored hospitality tents (mawkibs) along primary transit routes.
  • Transit & Transport Support: Deploying corporate transport fleets and vehicular assets to facilitate pilgrim transit to border crossings.

The initiative aligns with broader state directive programs where industrial state enterprises provide civic support for large-scale religious and national gatherings.
