TEHRAN, July 07 (NIPNA) — Iran’s Minister of Petroleum, Mohsen Paknejad, affirmed national unity and policy continuity during public funeral proceedings, emphasizing that the energy sector remains fully aligned with the nation's political leadership.

Speaking on the sidelines of the funeral procession in Tehran, Paknejad addressed the country's official leadership transition, following events described as a significant turning point in recent political history.

Industry Participation and Allegiance

Paknejad noted that executive leadership and workforce delegations from across the oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors participated in the national ceremonies.

The minister highlighted that public and industrial participation during the multi-day proceedings served a dual institutional purpose:

  • Honoring Predecessor Leadership: Commemorating the late Supreme Leader's dedication to national development and industrial resilience.
  • Pledging Allegiance to Successor: Formally renewing organizational commitment and allegiance to his successor, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei.

Operational and Policy Continuity

Paknejad emphasized that the overarching strategic trajectory of the Islamic Republic—including its industrial expansion, energy security initiatives, and national infrastructure projects—will proceed without disruption.

The minister concluded by stating that the institutional alignment demonstrated across state sectors guarantees the authoritative and continuous progression of national economic goals under the newly confirmed leadership.
