TEHRAN, June 30 (NIPNA) — Iran’s Ministry of Petroleum has established a dedicated operational headquarters to manage energy supply, logistics, and infrastructure support for the upcoming national funeral ceremonies of the late Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The state planning initiative was announced by Minister of Petroleum Mohsen Paknejad during a meeting of the ministry’s deputy council on Tuesday.

Operational and Logistical Mobilization

The newly formed ministerial committee will oversee comprehensive logistical services for the large volume of domestic and international attendees expected at the ceremonies.

According to Paknejad, the Petroleum Ministry and its subsidiary industrial units will assume direct responsibility for several core operational sectors:

  • Fuel Supply Management: Ensuring stable fuel distribution and supply chains across transport networks.
  • Logistics and Support: Deploying transport and organizational assets, with a primary focus on the Tehran metropolitan area.
  • Public Services: Coordinating hospitality and support infrastructure for visiting delegations and attendees.

The minister called upon personnel across the oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors to maintain production stability while supporting the scheduled national events.

Official Ceremony Schedule

According to the official itinerary released by the ministry, the national ceremonies are scheduled to take place across multiple provinces:

  • Tehran Province: Public funeral processions will be held from Saturday, July 4, through Monday, July 6, 2026 (13 to 15 Tir 1405).
  • Qom: Ceremonies will proceed in the holy city of Qom on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 (16 Tir).
  • Mashhad: The final burial ceremony will take place at the Imam Reza Holy Shrine on Thursday, July 9, 2026 (18 Tir).

Paknejad noted that the widespread participation of various social and industrial sectors serves as a clear indication of national unity and institutional continuity amid recent regional geopolitical challenges.
