Speaking at the closing ceremony of the latest phase of the campaign,
Hassan Abbaszadeh, Deputy Petroleum Minister and Chief Executive Officer of
NPC, said energy-demand management depends on public awareness, education, and
community engagement.
Abbaszadeh stated that the initiative has evolved beyond a conventional
energy-efficiency program by combining conservation efforts with social
responsibility activities, including charitable and community-support projects.
According to NPC, the campaign promotes responsible energy consumption
through public education and awareness programs aimed at reducing waste,
supporting industrial production, and improving the utilization of national
energy resources.
The official noted that petrochemical products play an important role
in daily life and industrial supply chains, underscoring the sector’s
contribution to meeting domestic demand and supporting economic activity.
He said the campaign’s success reflects cooperation among government
institutions, industry stakeholders, media organizations, social groups, and
the public. Expanding participation, he added, could amplify the collective
impact of individual energy-saving measures while reducing the burden on any
single participant.
Abbaszadeh emphasized that efficient resource management remains
particularly important during periods of elevated energy demand, noting that
conservation measures can help support production continuity and improve the
use of existing infrastructure.
The NPC chief also highlighted the campaign’s social initiatives,
including support for charitable causes, mobility assistance programs, and
financial aid projects. Linking energy savings to community-oriented activities
has encouraged broader public engagement, according to organizers.
Looking ahead, Abbaszadeh said the campaign’s existing operational framework
provides a foundation for wider implementation. He called for continued efforts
to promote responsible consumption practices and greater awareness of the value
of energy resources.
NPC officials said the initiative is designed to support long-term
sustainability objectives by encouraging more efficient use of electricity and
natural gas, reducing unnecessary consumption, and strengthening public
participation in energy-management efforts.
