TEHRAN, May 25 (NIPNA) – The chief executive of National Petrochemical Company said reconstruction activities at petrochemical facilities affected by recent hostilities have entered an operational phase, with recovery and rebuilding efforts progressing simultaneously.

Hassan Abbaszadeh, deputy petroleum minister and head of the company, said the restoration strategy is being implemented in two parallel stages.

Under the first phase, the focus is on returning unaffected petrochemical plants to operation by consolidating available resources and accelerating restart programs. Abbaszadeh said priority is being given to supplying domestic industries and ensuring feedstock availability for downstream manufacturers.

He added that petrochemical facilities located in Assaluyeh and Mahshahr that did not sustain direct damage are gradually returning to production.

The second phase centers on reconstruction of affected assets. Abbaszadeh said debris removal and site-clearing operations are underway at facilities that experienced direct impacts, while damage assessments have been completed.

According to the official, reconstruction plans have now moved into execution, with the objective of restoring affected production capacity as quickly as possible and supporting the continued stability of the petrochemical supply chain.
