The memorandum of understanding was signed during a visit by Sakhaavat
Asadi, chief executive of the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone, to the Petrochemical
Special Economic Zone.
The agreement was formalized by Asadi and Mohammadreza Moteiri, chief
executive of the Petrochemical Special Economic Zone, in the presence of senior
managers from both organizations.
Under the terms of the memorandum, the two sides agreed to expand
cooperation in the areas of prevention, preparedness, response and
reconstruction related to emergency and crisis situations. The agreement also
calls for the joint use of operational, technical, human and logistical
resources to enhance industrial readiness and crisis management capacity.
Key areas of cooperation include conducting joint emergency drills,
sharing training and technical facilities, exchanging operational experience,
developing passive defense technologies and designing rapid-response
communication systems.
The agreement also provides for coordination in the deployment of emergency
personnel and relief equipment during industrial incidents or crisis events.
As part of the visit, Asadi toured petrochemical facilities in the
Petrochemical Special Economic Zone that had reportedly sustained damage during
recent wartime events described by Iranian officials as attacks carried out by American-Zionist
enemies.
Accompanied by Moteiri and other executives, Asadi reviewed the
operational status of affected facilities as well as reconstruction measures
aimed at maintaining production continuity.
The visit included an inspection of Shahid Tondgouyan Petrochemical
Company, where officials reviewed production activities, operational conditions
and development plans at the complex.
Asadi also visited educational and training facilities operated by the
Petrochemical Special Economic Zone organization, where he was briefed on
workforce development programs and specialized training initiatives in crisis
management and health, safety and environment, or HSE.
Executives from both organizations emphasized the importance of
reinforcing production infrastructure, training systems and human capital
development as critical pillars for sustaining growth in Iran’s petrochemical
industry.
