The meeting brought together senior ministry officials and
representatives from Iran’s Administrative and Recruitment Affairs Organization
to assess implementation of administrative reform programs and strategic
digital initiatives within the ministry and its affiliated entities.
Among the participants were Sedigheh Khazai, deputy petroleum minister
for management development and human capital; Omid Shakeri, deputy petroleum
minister for engineering, research and technology; and representatives from the
country’s administrative and civil service authority.
Speaking at the session, Khazai said administrative transformation
initiatives play a key role in improving operational processes and raising
productivity across the oil sector.
She stressed the importance of moving beyond “formalistic approaches”
in administrative reform to achieve tangible results, adding that Iran’s oil
industry should continue delivering effective services to the public despite
ongoing challenges.
Ali Tafreshi, representative of the Administrative and Recruitment
Affairs Organization on the ministry’s steering council, praised ministry
experts and managers for their detailed review of reform measures and said the
role of the oil industry during wartime conditions deserved broader
recognition.
“The services provided by the oil industry to the country and its
citizens during the war period are worthy of appreciation,” he said.
The council’s agenda included reviewing the first-quarter monitoring
report on implementation of the government’s administrative reform action plan,
as well as approving operational and data-driven flagship projects for the
Petroleum Ministry headquarters and National Petrochemical Company.
The session also examined proposals submitted by specialized
committees overseeing administrative modernization efforts, digital governance
initiatives and institutional performance monitoring.
Officials said the meeting concluded with the adoption of several
executive decisions following presentations by council members and ministry
representatives.
