TEHRAN, May 13 (NIPNA) – Companies operating in Iran’s Pars Special Economic Energy Zone received top honors in the 12th Petrochemical Industry Excellence Awards, with several major producers earning the event’s highest distinction for operational and organizational performance.

According to the awards committee, petrochemical companies including Nouri Petrochemical, Kavian Petrochemical, Mobin Energy Persian Gulf, Pars Petrochemical and Kangan Petro Refining Company secured the highest scores in the “Crystal Statue” category, the top tier of the annual evaluation program.

The recognition ceremony was held on the sidelines of a meeting between the Deputy Petroleum Minister and Chief Executive Officer of the National Petrochemical Company and senior executives from the Pars energy zone and the Persian Gulf petrochemical holding group in Assaluyeh, Iran’s main gas and petrochemical hub.

Officials said the awards process, which evaluates companies based on organizational excellence and management performance indicators, had faced delays after the annual festival scheduled for late last year was postponed because of domestic conditions in the country.

Speaking during the ceremony, the deputy petroleum minister praised organizers for completing the evaluation process and expressed hope that the excellence framework would continue to support corporate resilience and strategic development efforts as companies move forward with reconstruction and operational improvement programs.

A number of other companies based in the Assaluyeh region received three- to five-star commendation certificates for their participation in the latest round of assessments. Those recognized included Aryan Methanol, Bushehr Petrochemical, Pad Jam Polymer, Jam Polypropylene, Damavand Energy, Sepehr Makran Polypropylene, Sabalan Petrochemical, Kimia Pars Middle East, Pazargad Non-Industrial Operations, Assaluyeh Green Tanks, Morvarid Petrochemical, Mehr Petrochemical and Hengam Petrochemical.

In the project development category, which was assessed under the CPM3 evaluation model, Sadaf Petrochemical and Damavand Energy achieved Crystal Statue rankings, while Sabalan Petrochemical, Siraf Energy, Hormoz Petrochemical and Alay Mehestan received commendation awards.

Fahimeh Abdi, secretary of the excellence awards program, said a new crisis management and resilience committee would be formed with the participation of corporate excellence managers following authorization from the National Petrochemical Company’s leadership. She added that the committee’s secretariat would begin operations during the current award cycle.
