Hasan Abbaszadeh said the NPC is coordinating with the Ministry of
Industry, Mine and Trade, the Central Bank, and Iran’s commodity exchange to
strengthen supply chains for industrial users dependent on petrochemical
outputs.
He made the remarks during a coordination meeting on Sunday focused on
stabilizing supply for downstream sectors, according to the National
Petrochemical Company.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from the Ministry of
Industry, Mine and Trade, the Central Bank, the Iran Mercantile Exchange, and
the Consumer and Producer Protection Organization, alongside industry
representatives.
Abbaszadeh provided an update on recovery and reconstruction efforts
at petrochemical complexes damaged during what Iranian officials refer to as
the “third imposed war,” saying restoration work was ongoing across affected
facilities.
The NPC has in recent weeks held a series of coordination sessions with
industry executives, experts, and lawmakers to accelerate rehabilitation plans
and address production bottlenecks, the company said.
Officials have also stepped up field inspections of key industrial
zones. Abbaszadeh recently visited the Assaluyeh petrochemical hub and later
traveled to the Mahshahr special economic zone to assess reconstruction
progress and operational conditions at damaged sites.
The government is seeking to stabilize petrochemical output, which
plays a key role in supplying raw materials to Iran’s manufacturing and export
sectors, while ensuring smoother import channels where domestic capacity
remains constrained.
