The council declared a decisive victory for Iran in what it
described as an "unjust, illegal, and criminal war" waged by the
enemy.
According to a statement released early Wednesday, the SNSC
asserted that the U.S. has agreed to key demands outlined in Iran's plan, which
reportedly includes an end to all sanctions, recognition of Iran's control over
the Strait of Hormuz, and acceptance of Iran's nuclear enrichment activities.
The statement also mentioned demands for reparations, the
withdrawal of U.S. forces from the region, and an end to hostilities against
Lebanese Islamic resistance.
The council congratulated the Iranian people on this
"great victory" and emphasized the need for continued national unity
and prudence to finalize the terms.
The statement further claimed that Iran and its allied
resistance groups have inflicted significant damage on enemy forces and
infrastructure over the past 40 days, leading to the enemy's "despair and
exhaustion" and forcing them to accept Iran's terms.
It described the conflict as a "combined battle"
that has largely crippled the U.S. military machine in the region and inflicted
heavy losses.
Iran stated that negotiations based on its 10-point plan are
set to commence in Islamabad, Pakistan, on April 10 and will last for a maximum
of two weeks, with the possibility of extension. The SNSC cautioned that this
does not signify an end to the war, which will only conclude once the details
of the agreement are finalized.
