Hassan Abbaszadeh, NPC CEO and deputy oil minister, said gas
limitations were lifted on Friday, allowing companies to receive the full
feedstock required. He noted that during peak winter months, daily gas delivery
had fallen from 90 million cubic meters to as low as 50 million cubic meters,
but operations are now returning to normal.
Abbaszadeh also reported that around 98% of petrochemical export
earnings have been repatriated or are in the process of returning, marking a 2%
increase compared with last year.
The NPC chief stressed that optimizing energy consumption remains the
most cost-effective path to sustainable gas supply. He added that disputes
between companies have increasingly been resolved through specialized
arbitration mechanisms, with six cases currently under review.
