Speaking at the inauguration of 120 collaborative
projects between the Ministry of Defense and other ministries, the president
highlighted that residential development, especially near industrial units,
must consider water recycling, renewable energy provision, and energy-efficient
building standards. Adequate provision of educational, health, and service
infrastructure is also essential to ensure quality of life for residents.
He further stressed that housing for industrial
and petrochemical workers should be planned close to workplaces while adhering
to environmental and pollution considerations. Cross-ministerial coordination
is necessary to reduce housing challenges, improve workforce productivity, and
ensure proper transport infrastructure.
Addressing the Minister of Petroleum directly,
President Pezeshkian called for the full collection and management of flares to
reduce energy waste and optimize resource use.
He expressed satisfaction with the national and
collaborative projects’ inauguration and expressed hope that strengthened
coordination among executive agencies would effectively address deficiencies
and enhance public service delivery.
