The appointment was made by Afshar Baziyar, chief
executive of Shastan Commercial Investment Company, the parent firm.
Shahsavari previously served as deputy CEO of
Makran Negin Petrochemical Development Company for four years and had been
acting as head of the company prior to his formal appointment.
The company is responsible for developing
industrial and non-industrial infrastructure in the Makran Petrochemical Town
in Chabahar, a strategic project that Iranian officials describe as the country’s
third major petrochemical hub.
The appointment decree was formally presented
during an introduction ceremony by Hassan Roudbari, deputy CEO of Shastan, the
statement added.
