TEHRAN, Dec. 5 (NIPNA)– Iran’s Minister of Petroleum, Mohsen Paknejad, emphasized the decisive role of young specialists in shaping the country’s oil sector and addressing national challenges, local media reported on Sunday.

Speaking at the Faculty of Petroleum in Tehran on Student Day, Paknejad stressed that the future of Iran depends on the knowledge and skills of students. “The country’s future is in your hands, and it can only be built through science and expertise,” he said.

The minister encouraged students to study deeply, not just for grades, noting that lessons learned during academic life are essential for solving economic and technical challenges. He highlighted the historical role of the Petroleum University of Iran in producing top industry managers and called for restoring the university to its former prominence.

Paknejad also invited students to contribute ideas for optimizing university operations and addressing national issues such as water scarcity, energy management, and economic challenges. He cited recent achievements in defense and artificial intelligence as examples of Iranian talent and innovation.

During the visit, Paknejad toured classrooms and engaged with faculty and students across various disciplines, listening to their questions, concerns, and innovative proposals for the future of Iran’s oil industry.
