ASALUYEH, Nov. 26 (NIPNA) – Iran is set to officially inaugurate two new petrochemical projects in the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone in Asaluyeh, reflecting the country’s continued balanced development in the petrochemical sector.

The projects, part of the Entekhab Investment Development Group, will be opened in the presence of Mohamad Jafar Ghaem Panah, Iran’s Executive Vice President, along with Hassan Abbaszadeh, Deputy Oil Minister and CEO of the National Petrochemical Company, parliament members, and local officials from Bushehr province.

The Kimia Sanaye Dalahoo plant, with an annual production capacity of 120,000 tonnes of general-purpose and high-impact polystyrene, represents a $56 million investment. Meanwhile, the Kimia Sanaye Petro Entekhab Esfahan facility will produce 50,000 tonnes of general-purpose polystyrene per year, backed by a $32 million investment.

Both projects are expected to strengthen Iran’s petrochemical output and further enhance the country’s industrial growth in the southern energy hub.
