The incident, reported at 7:03 a.m. on Tuesday, prompted an immediate
response from on-site safety and firefighting teams, who contained the leak
quickly, the spokesperson said, citing the zone’s public relations office.
Several workers suffered minor injuries and were taken to the
petrochemical zone’s medical center for evaluation and treatment, with three
requiring transfer to the Oil Hospital, the statement added.
Officials confirmed that production at Arvand Petrochemical was not
disrupted. The leak affected parts of the neighboring Rijal Petrochemical
complex, but the situation there is also under control, with no impact on
operations.
Authorities said further updates would be provided as information
becomes available.
