The elections, held on Monday with strong member turnout, saw 19
candidates competing for nine board seats and two candidates vying for the
position of auditor. At the conclusion of the vote, nine board members and one
auditor were elected.
Outgoing president Omid Koushki highlighted the association’s
achievements over the past year, including electricity tariff adjustments for
compound units, transit duty negotiations, exclusive supply of raw materials
via Iran’s commodity exchange, and revitalization of green export channels. The
association also secured a formal role in the IranPlast exhibition policy
council, advanced domestic production-support policies, and obtained approval
to publish the specialized journal Masterbatch and Compound.
The newly elected board will focus on strengthening domestic
production, expanding export markets, supporting producers, and ensuring
continuity of strategic programs such as rotational raw material allocations.

Abbas Moayed was elected as auditor with 68 votes.
The election marks a key step in the association’s ongoing efforts to
support the growth and development of Iran’s polymer industry.
