The appointment was made by Hassan Abbaszadeh, NPC CEO and Deputy
Minister of Petroleum, in recognition of Akbari’s expertise and professional
experience.
In his official decree, Abbaszadeh emphasized that Akbari will lead
efforts to enhance organizational efficiency through a streamlined and
effective structural redesign of NPC. Key objectives outlined in the decree
include:
    - Reviewing
    and updating the company’s organizational structure to align with new
    responsibilities and operational requirements.
 
    - Improving
    organizational performance, including revising job descriptions to match
    current roles.
 
    - Identifying
    and optimizing workflows and clarifying responsibilities across units.
 
    - Strengthening
    the company’s structure to enhance its role in Iran’s petrochemical
    business environment.
 
    - Establishing
    and monitoring performance and productivity indicators for both the
    organization and the wider industry.
 
    - Developing
    and updating operational procedures, regulations, and guidelines suitable
    for evolving conditions.
 
    - Conducting
    detailed assessments of staffing needs and expertise for each unit in
    collaboration with the Human Resources Development Department.
 
The appointment underscores NPC’s ongoing focus on operational
efficiency and structural modernization within Iran’s petrochemical sector.
