Tehran, Sept 15 (NIPNA) – Iran’s Pars Petrochemical Company has begun scheduled overhauls at its ethylbenzene and styrene monomer units, alongside emergency repairs at its ethane recovery plant, the company said on Sunday.

The turnaround, originally planned for mid-October, was brought forward due to an unexpected shutdown at Persian Gulf Mobin Energy’s cooling water line, according to the company’s public relations office. Repairs to that line are expected to take about two weeks and have forced the temporary halt of Pars Petrochemical’s production units.

Maintenance work at the ethylbenzene and styrene monomer plants, along with the emergency overhaul of the ethane recovery unit, is scheduled to run from Sept. 12 to Oct. 6.

The ethane plant is expected to resume production once Mobin Energy’s cooling water system is back online, the company said.
