According to a statement from Negin Makran’s public relations office,
the two-day meeting on May 11–12 (21–22 Ordibehesht) included site visits to
key infrastructure and ongoing construction projects within the Makran
Petrochemical Zone, located in the Chabahar Free Trade-Industrial Zone.
The meeting opened with a detailed report from Alireza Moniri,
CEO of Negin Makran, who welcomed participants and outlined the company’s
industrial and social initiatives aimed at balanced regional development.
Vahid Barzegar, head of inspection at the National
Petrochemical Company (NPC) and secretary of the Strategic Council, praised the
developments in Chabahar and reaffirmed the council’s readiness to support the
growth of the petrochemical sector in the strategic Makran region.
Participants also reviewed the outcomes of previous sessions and
discussed new proposals in the presence of inspection heads from NPC, Sata
(Armed Forces Social Security Investment Co.), and other major petrochemical
holdings.
The Makran coastline, designated as a future strategic hub, is
expected to play a transformative role in Iran’s regional industrial
development, with the Makran Petrochemical Zone poised to become a major driver
of the country's petrochemical expansion.
