TEHRAN (NIPNA) – Iran’s 29th International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition is set to begin on May 8 to 11 in Tehran, drawing the participation of 150 foreign companies from 14 countries alongside hundreds of capable domestic firms.

With a sharp focus on investment and technological innovation, the exhibition spans over 40,000 square meters, making it the country’s largest industrial event.

According to the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), this year’s exhibition will feature over 2,000 domestic and international exhibitors, signaling Iran’s strong presence in the global energy value chain. The growing international interest has led to the addition of five new exhibition halls.

Held under the theme "Investment in the Oil Industry: A Guarantee for Economic Growth and Development", the event highlights Iran’s strategic priorities for the year. It aims to showcase investment opportunities, cutting-edge technologies, and the capabilities of Iranian firms, while fostering engagement with international investors.

The exhibition also emphasizes innovation, hosting a series of events involving knowledge-based companies, startups, universities, and science parks. Activities include technical seminars, specialized workshops, product unveilings, and presentations of locally manufactured equipment.

Notably, for the first time, a virtual exhibition platform powered by artificial intelligence will be launched to enable global participation and remote access.

Key halls and participants include:

  • Hall 5: National Iranian Gas Company and affiliates
  • Halls 6, A31, B31: Equipment manufacturers
  • Halls 7 and 27: Rotating machinery and oil industry equipment
  • Halls 8 and 9: NIOC and upstream sector

Alongside the exhibition, a range of contracts, MOUs, and agreements in research, equipment procurement, and specialized services are expected to be signed. The event further serves as a platform for professional dialogue, with scheduled press conferences involving senior oil industry officials and media briefings.

This year’s edition stands as a testament to the integration of production, technology, investment, and economic diplomacy in Iran’s strategic energy sector.
