TEHRAN (NIPNA) – Iran and China are strengthening cooperation in the petrochemical sector, a senior Iranian official said on Saturday during the Chinaplas 2025 exhibition in China.
Hassan Abbaszadeh, Deputy Minister of Petroleum and CEO of the National Petrochemical Company, said the two countries are expanding their joint efforts in the industry.
The remarks were made at the Iranian Petrochemical Industry Day event, which gathered more than 600 industry representatives from both countries. The event featured speeches by Abbaszadeh, the Iranian Ambassador to China, as well as senior executives from Shastan Holding, Persian Gulf Holding, China's SHAAN Foreign Trade, Keyscin Company, and SYN Energy Company.
Abbaszadeh emphasized the significant volume of petrochemical trade between Iran and China and pointed to opportunities for further investment and joint ventures.
Following the main session, participants held B2B meetings to explore cooperation prospects and exchange proposals.
As part of the program, Abbaszadeh and representatives from Iranian petrochemical holdings toured the logistics facilities of Taicang Port, Feima Warehouse, and Feisu Port, discussing future collaboration with Chinese companies.
