TEHRAN (NIPNA) – Lordegan Petrochemical Company has successfully reached a new operational milestone, with ammonia production capacity hitting 92% and urea output reaching 90%, as officially disclosed through the Codal system.

According to the report, the final days of the previous year were marked by round-the-clock efforts to replace the plant’s ammonia catalyst. These efforts culminated in the successful reactivation of the ammonia reactor on the first day of the new year.

Overcoming Technical Challenges

Previously hindered by two major technical obstacles, the company has now cleared the first: reaching sustained production above 90% capacity. The second hurdle—installation of the CO compressoris well underway, with all preparatory requirements already completed.

Operational and Financial Optimization

Alongside technical improvements, the company has made progress in financial restructuring, notably converting foreign currency debts into local currency. These measures aim to enhance the company's financial health and long-term operational resilience.

Lordegan Petrochemical produces 2,050 tons of ammonia and 3,250 tons of urea per day. Further improvements are expected under the leadership of Mohammad Shariatmadari, CEO of Persian Gulf Holding.
