Project manager Sajjad Gholami confirmed that the plant has entered
continuous production of RO2 water since April 10, with RO1 water output
expected to follow soon.
He said construction on the unit was accelerated throughout the
Ramadan and Nowruz holidays under the CEO's directive to meet increased water
consumption needs of Phase II industrial complexes. The project is nearing full
completion and is considered critical to the region’s operations.
Infrastructure Milestones Achieved
Gholami highlighted that multiple key installations have been
completed, including energizing a 230/20 kV transformer, activating a 20 kV
distribution board, commissioning two 20/0.69 kV transformers, and installing
and connecting LV and VFD panels. Additionally, the project involved the
installation of RO1 and RO2 skids, pressure vessels, high-pressure pumps,
instrumentation, media filter nozzles, mixers, and injection systems.
Upon full commissioning of the current project, Damavand’s total water
production capacity will rise to 60,000 cubic meters per day.
Future Expansion Plans Underway
The company is also working on two additional units with a combined
capacity of 40,000 cubic meters per day. The first 20,000-cubic-meter unit is
expected to come online this autumn, with the remaining capacity to be added by
next spring.
In addition, a separate project aimed at producing 10,000 cubic meters
of RO2 water daily is set to enter production later this spring.
