In a message marking the Iranian New Year, Paknejad
expressed gratitude to the country’s oil and gas industry workforce, commending
their dedication in overcoming challenges and achieving milestones that
strengthened Iran’s energy sector.
"As Ramadan is a month of self-purification and service
to the people, Nowruz is a reminder of hope for a better future and a renewed
commitment to human values," he wrote in a statement.
Paknejad highlighted key achievements of the past year,
including a 30-million-cubic-meter increase in gas production, the daily
processing and distribution of over 1 billion cubic meters of natural gas, and
the signing of a landmark $17 billion contract to enhance pressure at the South
Pars gas field.
He described these accomplishments as testaments to the
resilience of Iran’s energy sector amid external and internal pressures.
"This coincidence of Nowruz and Ramadan offers an
opportunity to integrate economic development with the spirit of sacrifice and
responsibility, ensuring that progress benefits society as a whole," he
stated.
Looking ahead, Paknejad outlined strategic objectives for
the coming year, including addressing infrastructure challenges in the oil and
gas sector, strengthening energy diplomacy with neighboring countries,
advancing major development projects, and enhancing efficiency to solidify
Iran’s status as a regional energy hub.
The minister also extended appreciation to the families of
oil industry workers, acknowledging their role in supporting the sector’s
continued success.
"With faith in God, domestic capabilities, and
strategic planning, we will pursue our goals with determination. I wish all
Iranians a year of health, prosperity, and achievement under divine
grace," he concluded.
