1st Introductory Course Held on Sustainable Development Goals

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- The first specialized course on sustainable development goals and strategies in the field of social responsibility was hosted by the Secretary of Social Responsibility of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC).

The course was held in the presence of executives, consultants and experts in the petrochemical industry for two days at NPC on September 25 and 26.

In this specialized course, which was held with the approach of aligning organizational excellence models of EFQM (the European Foundation for Quality Management) with the 17 goals of sustainable development, solutions and evaluation of projects needed to achieve the goals and their realization and implementation based on strategies and programs of social officials in the petrochemical industry were outlined.

The topics of the course included the history and definition of sustainable development, Human Development Index (HDI) in 2020, Climate change, greenhouse gases and carbon dioxide, EFQM 2020 and the goals of sustainable development, as well as the 17 goals of sustainable development from the perspective of the United Nations.
