West Ethylene Pipeline Playing Key Role in Value Chain Completion

TEHRAN (NIPNA) – The CEO of Oil Industries Commissioning and Operation Company (OICO) underlined the role West Ethylene Pipeline plays in completion of the value chain in the petrochemical industry of the country’s western territories.

"We are looking for the idea of completing the value chain and developing the petrochemical industry, and this contract is the beginning of a new path in the process of the company's future activities," Manouchehr Taheri said, referring to a contract ceding operation of the pipeline to OICO.

He said his company has a long backdrop in operation and maintenance of pipelines, adding it has also launched several projects including the Persian Gulf Star refinery, phases 17, 18, 20 and 21 of South Pars as well as the seventh and eighth refineries of the offshore gas field and operation of the North Azadegan oil field, etc.

The contract for the operation, repair and maintenance of the West Ethylene Pipeline was signed between the National Petrochemical Company as the owner of the line and OICO as the contractor on Sunday.
