Speaking to
NIPNA, Sakineh Almasi, a representative of the people of Jam, Kangan, Assaluyeh
and Dayyer at the parliament, said Iran's petrochemical industry is on the
development track, adding that if the second and third leaps in petrochemical
industry were realized, a lot of jobs and massive value added would be
generated in the country.
She further
voided the parliament’s support for the petrochemical industry, saying: “Iran's
petrochemical industry is more than fifty years old and is one of the pillars
of economic and industrial development for the country.”
The MP added
that Iran had a good position in the petrochemical industry in the region and
the world and most of Iran’s non-oil exports were related to this industry.
