Addressing
the closing session of a gathering of senior petrochemical officials in the
city of Mashad, northeastern Iran, Behzad Mohammadi said the policy of NPC and the
Iranian Ministry of Petroleum is to seriously pursue construction of petrochemical
plants that run on mixed feedstock.
“The
latest developments in the world’s petrochemical market must be observed
constantly and efforts must be made with fresh, long-term approach in the
sector,” he said.
The
official expressed satisfaction at the quantitative growth of the petrochemical
industry in Iran, saying that the quality of items must also improve as time
goes by.
“We have no way but to ensure sustainable, yet smart development in the petrochemical
industry,” he said.
