Mohammadi was accompanied with Ardebil Governor Akbar Behnam Jou and was
briefed about the latest developments in the project on Wednesday.
During the visit, he stressed the necessity of adding momentum to
completion of the project.
Being built in 8 hectares of land, the plant is being built with 132,000
tons/year of methanol production capacity. Moreover, it will supply 283,000
tons of formaldehyde annually.
The project has so far gained 65 percent progress and will be fed by 160
million normal cubic meters of natural gas. The project is expected to come
online by 2021.
