Speaking to NIPNA, Gholamreza Sharafi, who is
also a member of the energy committee of the parliament, said that the petrochemical
industry was regarded as a developmental sector, adding that Iran’s petrochemical
industry, given its functions and satisfying the needs of various industries,
could be used to ensure development in other industries, services and economic sectors.
Undoubtedly, petrochemical products have a
lot of value added in comparison to crude oil and gas, adding that under the
current circumstances, completion of the value chain of the industry is of utmost
importance.
“I believe that Iran’s petrochemical products
are regarded as brands in regional and international markets,” he said.
