According to PSEEZ, Pirouz Mousavi said in a
meeting with the deputy ambassador of Belgium to Tehran that many of the phases
of the South Pars gas field had been completed, adding there was a massive
capacity for gas production in the joint field.

Iran’s gas production capacity from South Pars
currently stand at 660 million cubic meters per day. The field supplies 70 percent
of the country’s demand for gas.
He said PSEEZ enjoyed numerous massive gas and
petrochemical facilities which made it a gemstone for Iran’s economy, adding in
the near future more emphasis would be on investment in downstream industries
in the region.
