Speaking to NIPNA, Reza Padidar said the association had great potentialities
to respond to the needs of the petrochemical industry, given its desirable capabilities.
He underlined the association's activities over the past two decades
in localization of equipment for the oil, gas, and petrochemicals industries, and
said: "During this period, the association has made great achievements in
this regard and many domestic companies have been positively cooperating with
the association, and manufacturing of items and parts have improved
dramatically inside the country.”
The official further said that now more than 75 percent of various
equipment needed in various sectors of the country's oil industry were being
manufactured domestically, adding: "Today, in the field of manufacturing
of equipment for the petrochemical industry, we have major potentialities which
we should exploit efficiently.”
Padidar also called for supporting Iranian labor and skilled workforce
in the energy sector and stressed the need to allowing the private sector to
join projects inside the country.
