Methanol Value Chain Completion Conference Held

TEHRAN (NIPNA) – The first Conference and Exhibition on Methanol and Value Chain Completion was held at Shiraz Petrochemical Plant on Tuesday.

The event was organized in the southern province of Fars with executives from methanol producing companies from around the country.

The latest technological achievements in methanol production value chain as well as the recent developments in the methanol market and the challenges facing the producers were discussed during the conference.

Shiraz University, considered as the methanol hub of Iran, was also represented in the conference. The university is the supporter of methanol production know-how in Iran and offers R&D services to the producers of the item.

Shiraz Petrochemical Plant registered 3.5 million tons of methanol output last year which was a record by itself.
