Speaking to NIPNA, Mohammad Hassan Peyvandi underlined
the role of petrochemical industry in the country’s economic development,
adding Iranian manufacturers enjoy an acceptable level of technical savvy and
have displayed an active presence in development of the petrochemical industry in
recent years.
“However, the banking system must support the
builders for them to exhibit a more active role in the sector,” he noted.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of TAPPICO
further said the powerful Iranian manufacturers of equipment and components
used in the petrochemical industry should benefit from the support of the banking
system and the government.
Mr. Peyvandi said: "It seems to me that
the banking system needs to change its view towards supporting domestic industries
and try to model the policies of developed countries.”
