Addressing a meeting with governor of the southwestern province of Khouzestan on Tuesday, Shahdaei said social responsibility must be the top concern of investors in capitalizing new projects in the region, adding more attention will be paid to social responsibility measures in the region in the future.
She said infrastructural development of regions must be carried out by the state sector given the fact that no private investor would opt for infrastructure developments anywhere.
Shahdaei, who is also deputy petroleum minister in petrochemical affairs, also stressed the need for ensuring balanced growth of petrochemical projects in the region.
She said Mahshahr Petzone is apt to enhance its production capacity as there are many keen investors to bankroll projects in the region.
Mahshahr Petrochemical Complex offers nearly 44% of Iran’s total petrochemical output.
